The Ipswich District Teacher Librarian Network is a not-for-profit incorporated body listed with the ACNC as a charitable organisation. Members are teacher-librarians, librarians, library aides and technicians from state and private schools and public libraries. The network meets once per school term, holds two workshop meetings including PD, coordinates the Ipswich and Somerset/Lockyer Regions CBCA Qld Readers Cup. A Biennial Festival of Children's Literature StoryArts Festival Ipswich is organised by the network and available free for all P-7 children to attend.
The network produces a book each year which gives teachers, teacher-librarians, and public librarians ideas on how to celebrate CBCA Book Week. This helps fund the network activities. The Network is a major donor to the The Children's Book Council of Australia Awards Foundation and winner of the 2001 IASL/SIRS Commendation Award.
