Printmaking for AdultsI Want to be in a Book by Narelle Oliver

Artist Lee FullARTon will share with participants the development of Narelle’s printmaking practice from pure linocut to mixed media through the retrospective works within the I Want to be in a Book exhibition.  Lee will guide participants in the process, techniques and use of tools as they draw, transfer designs, carve and print their own linocut. Lee will also demonstrate a variety printing processes that are similar to using lino and various printing papers and surfaces to create printed artworks. 

All materials will be supplied. 

Lee FullARTon is a practicing and teaching artist. Lee met Narelle Oliver many years ago at a literature festival and they instantaneously struck up a friendship and connection through their passion for children’s engagement in art, story and printmaking. In 2012 Lee and Narelle worked closely together on ‘The Art of Story’ an Artist in Residence Project funded by Arts Queensland. Lee is honoured to curate and produce the ‘'I Want to be in a Book' exhibition and accompanying projects with children and artists for SAFI 2017.

This project is funded by Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is a partnership between Queensland Government and Ipswich City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
